so my attempt to force enable the notebooks feature on kobos that arent stylus compatible is at a wall cause I still dont know how it knows to show the button on Nickel (the kobo home ui and general operating environment)
"but why" because I have absolute root power and can roll my own patched firmware beholden to no forced ota updates (stares at kindle)
also Im not buying another reader just for doodling on eink
im not kidding you can just say "nah not now" when an update is available and it wont do it behind your fucking back
i hate it on kindle not beacause of forced otas undoing jailbreaks if you dont do specific things to prevent them, but because I've gone to read only to stare at an update screen because amazon thinks its time
