Got a video recommended about a vibecoded "Modern UI library for C".
I think it's a good opportunity to remind people that Clay exists, and as far as I'm aware, it's not slop: https://github.com/nicbarker/clay
I haven't tried Clay myself in a while, but I'll take it over whatever that Claude mess is supposed to be.
@NullTheFool it works well but it's a bit barebones. The input system needs a bit more fleshing out or an alternative system but for the rest it's fun to use.
@NullTheFool read the start of the post and saw the link to Clay and was worried it was slopped for a second.. phew.
@lilyyllyyllyly Yeah I probably have to phrase it a bit better to avoid confusion
@NullTheFool Win 7 was magnitudes more readable than Liquid ~~Snake~~ Ass
@agatha Surprisingly I don't dislike Metro as much as some of my friends, but still, it's below my top 5 UI aesthetics
@NullTheFool Oh, we're circling back around to it already?
Are we doing it with or without the vaseline this time?
@elfi I am not sure, but this time I'll make the anime girl wallpapers
@NullTheFool it's probably my personal nostalgia talking, but I feel like we could learn something from the pre-XP windows look.
I don't mean replicate it exactly--gosh that was a lot of gray. But I feel like it communicated exactly what the UI was and how you were supposed to use it pretty well.
@astraluma Responded to another person about it, it's actually my top 4 in favorite UI aesthetics, I'm a pixel artist after all lol
