@davidrevoy He didn't ask an LLM for a password probably xD
@davidrevoy@framapiaf.org this gives so much Monty Python energy
@davidrevoy While I had a reasonably good experience with PHP (mystery surrounds the origins of the name, but appears to have something to do with someone's Home Page...) there was one 'security feature' that threw me.
A hashing function which I thought could be used for trapdoor encryption of passwords turned out to only operate on the first two characters of the input string! 'For' and 'Four' would both be accepted. Useful.
(Quietly switched to using LDAP after that)
@davidrevoy Is this that PHP thing everyone's been talking about, or has there been *another* one?
@ToonLink @davidrevoy 4 and the PHP RCE thing are separate. 4 was part of a weak private key in an intermediate certificate of the Indian CA eMudhra.

@ToonLink @davidrevoy
A certificate authority was disavowed everywhere, when people dug in for the reasons it was found that the passwords for the cert were small numbers, including JUST THE NUMBER 4!
@davidrevoy something tells me the bird is actually a ✨️Avian Intelligence✨️ in disguise.
@davidrevoy Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!
@davidrevoy I must have missed something. I get the joke, very good, but the actual reason for four being funny?
@Reddog en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EMudhra#…
4 is one of the private keys that leaked, and the easiest one to turn into a joke

Haha, I love the cookies one too.
@davidrevoy I want to print the hi-res version of it to put next to the old wizard one (next to the lock on my office door), it it available somewhere ?
@Sobex Hehe, lucky, I still had the SVG on the trash :D I reopened it, and made an export to 3366px large: https://www.peppercarrot.com/extras/temp/2026-10-23_4_joke_hi.jpg
