are you a game developer or not? do you like AI for coding?
@eniko@mastodon.gamedev.place I've dabbled in game dev a little bit, but have to admit I've never worked on anything serious. My day job mostly involves working on robotics, largely doing system integration or user interfaces.
I cannot overstate how much I hate generative AI. As far as I'm concerned, it's basically ruined the entire field of software engineering, and if I had any other skills, I'd gladly switch careers at this point. I cancelled my JetBrains All Products subscription after they started forcing AI integration into all of their IDEs, and I'll be flipping burgers at McDonald's before I use an "agent" to do anything for me.
